Fat Pat’s Barbecue and Brewery in Spring Grove is a brewery and a coffee shop most of the week, a Texas style BBQ restaurant one day a week(Friday). This little gem is also attached to the side of Red’s IGA super market in case you need extra ingredients for your meal.
What to get
Smoked Ribs & Mac & Cheese
Ribs fell right off the bone on the ribs and everything tasted “clean”. Very simple salt & pepper rub, and a kiss of smoke highlights the insanely tender, juicy, flavorful ribs. The BBQ sauce is a vinegar based sauce, without too much sugar covering up the taste of the beautifully smoked meats.
I regret ordering mac and cheese as soon as I ordered it then regretted not ordering more after I tasted it. I expected a bright orange mac and cheese that would taste extra processed, but got this beautiful silky, creamy, simple but so delicious mac and cheese. A perfect side dish to the bbq I got.
The beer was really good and above expectation as well. 😍
When to go
They started serving BBQ at 4pm, and the whole dining room filled up as soon as the clock striked 4, with a line out the door! ❤️❤️❤️
